The space The home features a dock with access to Lake Worth. You are welcome to bring your own Kayak, boat or jet skis and tie them to the dock. The water depth at the dock generally does not fall below 28 inches. Location The front of the house opens onto a three acre park. Across the park is a multi-mile concrete hike & bike trail with a kids' playground and a lakefront park less than a mile away. The house is also two miles from the 820 & Jackboro Hwy retail area which offers numerous shopping and restaurant options, as well as 10 minutes from the Stockyards and 15 minutes to downtown. The home is near a US Naval Air Base and on most days you will periodically hear fighter jets (F-35s and F-16s) as they prepare to land. Its a real treat to sit on the deck and watch the worlds finest fly overhead. Usually, it lasts for about 30 to 45 minutes once in the morning and once in the afternoon as the squadron returns from their flight assignments, with a few additional landings or fly-bys during the day. On rare occasions they also fly at night, but its quieter in that case. We have never heard the planes before 7:45am or after 10:30pm (usually night flying is done by 9:30pm, and morning flying starts after 9:30am). The dock is newly built in 2026 and is very sturdy using a high-quality design. It is generally 4' above the water at a level required by city ordinance. There is no railing and as with any dock there are inherent dangers so use at your own risk. Horseplaying or running around on the dock are not permitted. Jumping off the dock into the lake is not permitted most of the time the water is not deep enough. Use the ladder carefully instead. The ladder and boat bumpers at the end of the dock are available as tie-ups for a kayak, motor boat, or Jetski, etc. You can check the lake level on the Corp of Engineers website. Lake Worth generally does not fall below 592 msl. At 592, the water is 28 inches deep by ladder and the dock is 4 above the water level. Lake sports are inherently dangerous, so use the lake at your own risk.
