The original cottage was built directly after the Civil War, from 1866 through 1868, as a brothel by a woman of free color, Mary O'Connor. The Property is furnished with movie set decor and historic preservation furniture. This private apartment boasts shy of 1200 sq ft of floor space, a private entrance, and 4,000 sq ft of shared outdoor living spaces, giving you an expansive living area in the heart of New Orleans. Our gardens have a private stage for unplugged music, a pavilion with an outdoor TV for movies, or a game day with friends.
This is a large unit with a parlor room, an open kitchen plan, and a washer and dryer/pantry room. You also have, as a bonus, access from 10-4 pm daily to the 750 sq ft Gallery space for work and Zoom calls/meetings.
