A beautiful fully-furnished one-bedroom condo right on Main Street in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, the heart of the Berkshires.… Seeking a year-round tenant(s) who will appreciate a quieter speed of life and easy access to town, the lake, Kripalu, Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, and so much more. Just down the street from Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox, West Stockbridge, and so many other beautiful communities, there are lots of local secrets, eats, and hikes to discover. It's strictly a No Pets/No Smoking building. The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath and there is a large walk-in closet in the bedroom.
The unit is up two easy flights of stairs and is the only top-floor unit in the building, with four exposures (plus a skylight) and views out over the trees to the mountains. The living room has a window bench ideal for sunsets and the reading nook in the bedroom is perfect for catching the sunrise. The south-facing alcove library is an ideal writer's room to watch the sun over the peaks all day and has a fold-up Japanese mattress for guests.
Just across the street are public tennis courts and a town park, with a trail that leads right into Laurel Hill Nature Preserve and hikes up to Laura's Tower or Ice Glen. Town is as perfect as Norman Rockwell painted it, with an adorable library, cafes and diners, abounding nostalgia for visiting guests at the Red Lion Inn and live music at the Lion's Den.
Laundry is conveniently located in the building and parking is a spacious gravel lot shared by other tenants. About half the building are year-rounders. The rest are snowbirds, making for serene, quiet winters. Split units in the living room and bedroom provide AC or heat, in addition to baseboards for the winter. The kitchen appliances (stove and dishwasher) are brand new.
Utilities are not included. Tenants will set up their own accounts with National Grid (electric), Berkshire Gas (gas), and Spectrum (Internet/Cable). We love our Berkshires nest and know you will too. Ideal for one or two people.
