About the building
We have a fully renovated unit that will be available for rent on 8/01/26. The style of this unit can only be described as 1950s meets the modern era.… The apartment building is split into two halves. The relevant half is comprised of a house built in the 50's that is comprised of 3 units; the house is attached to a newer building with 6 additional units.
Unit, "G" is located at 57 Congers Road, New City, NY 10956, on the second floor of a brick house surrounding by butterfly bushes, fig trees, hygrangeas, lilacs, roses of sharon and many more beautiful trees, bushes and perennials. There is always something in bloom.
Since this part of the building was built in the 50's, it still has the original wood molding and wood doors. There are windows on both sides of the Unit that overlooks the front of the building (and the peach tree/butterfly bushes that bring butterflies in the summer), as well as the back of the building which overlooks the community garden. Given the window positioning -there is a great cross-breaze facilitated by 2 new modern ceiling fans.
The Unit is comprised of 4 rooms:
1. A kitchen - which has an awesome a red modern retro style 50's fridge, a new stainless steel confection oven/stove, a pantry with a new pantry bakers/storage rack, new ceiling lights, new counters, a new sink, a new faucet, among other things.
2. A bathroom with a full size shower/tub, with a brand new vanity with a waterfall faucet, a flush mounted ceiling bubble light; a brand new toilet.
3. Two additional rooms for living space that with new light grey carpet and new AC units.
Although it is techincally a 1 bedroom, it can also double as a two bedroom if you do not mind having your main living space in your bedroom (the living room has a door frame, so tenant(s) can choose to install a door...
Former tenants have used the larger room as either as a living room or a bedroom which can fit a King sized bed (provided that you don't use a King sized box spring) a sectional, a large mounted tv and a desk nook; then the smaller room has been used as a living room; or have used the larger room as a living room and the smaller room (which can fit a queen sized bed, dressers, night tables, and a desk area)
This Unit does not have a washer/dryer hookup, but we can, on request hire a plumber at your cost to install hookups so that you can install your own washer/dryer. At some point in the coming year, we may have our plumber install hookups and possibly add a washer/dryer for tenants to use for a monthly fee.
The rent is $2000 per month, not including utilities (electric, gas, water, cable/phone).
This building is part of a larger apartment community consisting of five buildings (four buildings on Old School House Road and one building steps away on Congers Road), large on-site parking lots, a four bay garage onsite (with rental spaces available upon request) a community garden (spots available on request), extra storage rental space within the Building (available upon request) and extensive grounds with blooming shrubbery & trees as well as Plum Trees, Peach Trees, Cherry Trees, Pear Trees, Concorde Grape Vines, Blackberry/Raspberry/Gooseberry Bushes (which all tenants are free to pick when ripe).
We have a community Barbecue (propane), a large picnic table with an umbrella that has LED lights for night meals on site which tenants are free to use during the summer and early fall months.
Our pet policy permits a cat (possibly 2, dependent on Landlord approval) - provided that the tenant(s) pay a one time pet security deposit additional $25.00 pet rental fee per month (per pet).
Our office is located across the street from the Building, so we are generally available to address the needs of all tenant(s) quickly. There is also a lockbox outside our office where tenant(s) can deposit their rent checks 24/7.
