Independence Park, with tree-lined paths, a rose garden, reflecting pond and tennis courts, is an intimate neighborhood park, built in 1905, just a couple of blocks away. Craftsman bungalows line the neighboring streets, and there are many restaurants within a 1/2 mile walk, along wide sidewalks through tree-canopied streets, including some of the best and most popular establishments in town, including Soul Gastro lounge.
