The area is a true four-season getaway, known for its outdoor recreation, scenic beauty, and blend of mountain recreation and small-town charm.
During the months when snow is likely, October through April, a 4WD vehicle is necessary due to mountainous roads and a downhill driveway. The driveway is maintained in the winter but 2WD vehicles will likely not make it back up. A vehicle is needed as there are no Uber or Lyft services. Quiet hours are observed from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and outdoor noise should be kept to a minimum. No parties or events are allowed, and the guest count must match the reservation. Daytime visitors require prior approval. Smoking is not allowed indoors. Guests should be prepared for driving on hills and mountains. The property is on a private well and septic system; flush toilet paper only and use water conservatively. Wildlife awareness is important in this rural setting. Check-in is between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. There is limited or no cell service, so WiFi calling should be enabled before arrival, and arrival details should be saved in advance. Multiple levels and stairs are throughout the home.
