Two large adjacent furnished bedrooms are available on the third floor of a newly-built, four-bedroom shared eco-house in West Philly's Cedar Park neighborhood. The two existing tenants - both Penn graduate students in their late 20s / early 30s - live on the second floor and have their own bathrooms.
The available bedrooms both have very large closets, and share a large, double-sink private bath see photos of the bedroom and bath. A $100 utility charge includes reliable high-speed internet and all utilities (including central air conditioning, heat, hot water, and electricity), so the total monthly rent is $975 for each bedroom.
The first floor porch, living room, dining room, kitchen, study, powder room, and rear deck are all shared, as is the basement laundry room and storage area. The house was designed with sustainability in mind, is well-insulated and comfortable, with efficient high-end appliances. The house is sunny and modern with hardwood floors throughout and ceiling fans in every bedroom. Although furnished, if you have bedroom furniture we can remove and store the existing furniture.
The house is within walking / biking distance of local universities and has great access to public transportation. The Cedar Park area is a safe and beautiful neighborhood, with great local dining, a wonderful food co-op, and several parks.
