UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON / CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL / UNIVERSITY VILLAGE / BRYANT NEIGHBORHOOD
The Bryant Student House is a 3-story house located in the Bryant neighborhood of the University District, 3 blocks from University Village, 15-minute walk to UW campus.
The Bryant neighborhood is a much safer area versus living near the crime ridden University Way or Greek Row. The Bryant neighborhood is located on the EAST side of University Village (campus is on the WEST side of University Village) and the neighborhood consists primarily of young families, doctors, lawyers, tech professionals, UW faculty as well as students.
Kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, eating utensils, plates, bowls, cups, cooking nicknacks, etc so you won't need to buy or bring any of that, we can share what we already have with a 3rd student :)
There is a bus stop just 1/2 a block away that takes you to campus or anywhere else in the city. We are close to many stores and restaurants, easily within walking distance.
The house is 3 floors. The bedroom that is available is located within the basement unit of the house which is a 3-bedroom unit that has its own bathroom, kitchen, living room and laundry room. The basement unit is completely separate from the upper floors of the house and has its own entrance so only the 3 students living in the basement unit will have access that the basement floor unit. The 2 upper floors have their own separate entrance.
The basement unit is a very peaceful, relaxing environment and the whole house is non-smoking, no wild parties, no animals.
We are looking for a 3rd/male-student that is used to and agrees with keeping a clean house, such as washing dishes right after they are used (no dirty dishes left in sink) and cleaning up after themselves in all of the shared areas such as kitchen, bathroom, living room area. Preference for someone that doesn't cook a lot since one of the roommates already cooks quite often but we are open.
Current Roommates:
- Jake - majors in bioengineering and when he's not at school he enjoys playing soccer, skateboarding, jogging, online gaming, and likes to catch sporting events at one of the local pubs such as the Burke Gilman Brewery. In addition to school, he also has a corporate intern job at Seattle's best known coffee establishment.
- Jet - is currently studying international commerce and internet commerce and hopes to use these skills in several entrepreneurial projects he's working on. He also has a background in nutritional therapy and in his free time he enjoys helping people with their health and fitness goals. In addition to his studies, he works at a local business.
Sharing our place:
We all cooperate with keeping the place peaceful and optimum for studying, relaxing and sleeping by using headphones for things like zoom classes, music, TV, etc.
We also close the doors quietly at all times day and night so as not to disturb anyone napping, sleeping or studying.
The central bathroom is an open floorplan design and located in the middle of the unit (which is why we are not C0ED) and is set up so that multiple people can use it at the same time which is ideal for busy schedules and has worked out really well for us.
An occasional overnight guest is ok (such as friend/sibling) but only other males due to our open floor plan bath/shower area so as to maintain the privacy/modesty of our other roommates.
Bedrooms:
Currently we have one bedroom available January 1st, 2026, which has been fully furnished by one of the roommates including a bed, mattress, bedding, dresser, desk with desk-chair, mini-fridge, lounge chair, storage cabinet, armoire, bookshelf, nightstand, shoe rack.
There are photos of the rooms are included in this ad.
The "Ivory Room" is the room in the photos with the ivory-colored furniture which is the room that is currently available.
Because the bedroom and the common areas are already fully furnished and kitchen fully stocked you won't need to bring a lot of extra stuff, just your laptop/computer, clothes and personal care items.
Perfect for someone that only plans on bringing a minimal of belongings.
The basement unit has its own stacking washer/dryer that is free to use (NO NEED FOR COINS/CARDS) we don't charge extra for laundry.
Laundry hours are 7 AM to 9:30 PM.
$45 Credit/background screening fee, $300 Room Hold Deposit. Easy Paperwork. All payments are made electronically.
High speed internet is provided by Xfinity. No pets.
