This unique property is only 4 miles from town in the highly sought after Freshwater school district.… The custom 3/1 home was designed with views in mind, and shows an array of woodwork throughout the 1600 square feet of living space. The front door opens into a spacious living room with a cozy wood burning fireplace. This room flows into the kitchen which features newer stainless steel appliances, a pantry, and also leads to the outside seating on the deck. The bathroom includes charming built-in features and a classic clawfoot tub to soak in. Two bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the house, and feature angled walls and large windows. Upstairs is a spacious room featuring exposed beams and the home's unique architecture, giving it the inviting feeling of being on a ship. Built in drawers provide generous storage, while the window seat offers the best view in the house. Garden space is available although fencing needs to be established and there is a greenhouse to utilize. The woodshed and the shared garage offer additional storage. A shared washer and dryer are also in the garage for tenant use.*The owner occasionally visits and stays in the studio above the garage and plans to retire to the studio in the next couple of years. A two week advance notice is given before visiting. The use of the onsite sauna is for the owner only. Cats will be considered, the yard isn't fenced for dogs. *Tenants must own an AWD or 4WD to be able to use the driveway all season. Tenants agree to use 4WD on all uphill driving so as to not cause "pits" and damage to the road. *Tenants are expected to maintain the lawn. *Tenants must provide their own seasoned firewood. The home also has electric heating. *Tenant pays PG&E, and WIFI, (there is no propane). Tenant either establishes garbage/recycling with the city (cans go to the main road and must not be put out at night), or hauls garbage/recycling to town. *The owner provides water through a spring fed system so conserving water is important. The system has multiple filters including a UV filter. If the system runs out of water during the dry months (3 months max.) the owner will provide only 1 tank (5000 gallons) of potable water.
