Looking for a bright and sunny private room in the heart of NE Portland? This second floor room features large west facing windows for great afternoon light along with high efficiency heating and a window AC unit for the summer months. While the room will be unfurnished when you move in the rest of the house is mostly furnished with more than enough space for any extra furniture or storage you might bring. Plus there is a wood stove to keep you cozy in the winter. The house offers some incredible additional spaces including a shared office with the other upstairs roommate and a large storage area in the basement. For those with gear there is also a dedicated bike shop and storage area in a closed shed in the backyard plus a gardening shed. The outdoor space is a major highlight of the property and features an urban orchard with apple trees and multiple types of pears along with blueberries and grapes. There is also a raised bed planter if you would like to grow your own vegetables. Please note that tenants are responsible for maintaining the yard. You will be living with two young professionals in their late 20s who are clean and outdoorsy. They are very friendly and easy to get along with. I'm moving out for a job but have absolutely loved living at this house. They are looking for a roommate in a similar age range who values a tidy home. The location is excellent and sits only a 10 minute walk from Whole Foods and the popular Alberta and Williams corridors. The lease is currently month to month but may transition to a year long lease in the future. We are looking for an ideal candidate who plans on staying for a year or longer. Please do not reach out if you have pets. There is a background check required through the landlord and costs 39.95.
