This cozy cabin features a kitchenette equipped with a one-burner butane camping stove, cookware, dishware, a Bodum pour-over coffee maker, and a Yeti cooler. Enjoy forest views from the dining area. For cooler nights, a Jotul wood stove and a backup space heater provide warmth. Solar-powered lighting ensures ambient illumination, and Wi-Fi is available.
This property is pet-friendly, allowing one well-behaved dog with prior approval and a fee. Firewood for the indoor wood stove is provided, but guests must supply their own firewood for the outdoor fire pit, with a $50 fee charged if indoor firewood is used outside. Commercial filming and photography are allowed with prior approval and an additional fee.
Located in a secluded setting, this cabin offers direct access to hiking and nature trails. It's a short drive to Catskills towns, farms, and dining options. Nearby attractions include Brushland Eating House (3.5 miles), The Andes Hotel (4.5 miles), and various shops and wedding venues.
Please note that this is a semi off-grid cabin with no running water or indoor plumbing. An outhouse is located outside the cabin, and a solar shower jug is provided for outdoor rinsing (weather dependent). There is no refrigerator or freezer; a Yeti cooler is provided, and guests need to bring ice. The loft, where the full-size bed is located, has a low ceiling (3 ft) and is accessed by a ladder, making it unsuitable for small children or infants. Guests should be comfortable with off-grid living. There is no cell service at the property; enabling Wi-Fi calling before arrival and saving arrival details in advance is recommended. Quiet hours are observed from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No parties or events are allowed, and the guest count must match the reservation. Dogs are allowed with prior approval and an additional fee; no cats are permitted. Due to the rural, mountainous location, AWD, FWD, or 4WD vehicles with all-weather tires are necessary for winter travel, as the driveway is uphill and can be challenging in snow or ice. A shovel is provided for guest use. Check-in is between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. No changes to check-in or check-out times are permitted during holidays or from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Smoking is not permitted inside the cabin.
