Amazing Grace Church building. One of a kind. Not just in Eastern Market, but in the heart of it.
Compare to similar 2bd/2ba units (with lower ceilings :) in newer The Residences at Eastern Market building, one block away, renting for $7,600/month.
Beautiful split-level flat, lots of light, super high ceilings! 2 bedrooms / 2 full baths, dual suites, 1190 sf.
Dramatic design fourteen-foot ceilings, seventeen-foot sky lights, hardwood floors, high-end kitchen with granite, cherry cabinets, stainless appliances, professional accent lighting. Two master suites with full-size tubs and plenty of closet space, wood-burning fireplace, washer/dryer inside.
Famous mall landmarks visible from two roof decks just up a few stairs from master bedroom. Located on top floor (up two floors of stairs from ground level).
If you like a home with character and a building with history, Grace Church belongs to the National Registry of Historic Buildings and is in the best spot in the best part of DC--Eastern Market. Grace Church was built a century ago as a church, then converted to residences in the 1990's.
Truly one of a Kind. Major writeup in Washington Post write-up about Grace Church.
Grace Church is perfectly located in Eastern Market, Capitol Hill. Don't be fooled by all the ads saying "Eastern Market" and even "Capitol Hill
I just checked ten ads that said Eastern Market but none were actually in it. This one is in the heart. Less than one block to all of these: Eastern Market Metro, Starbucks, and Trader Joe's! Two blocks to actual historic market in the Eastern Market building--buy your groceries there daily with Farmers Market every weekend or walk to Harris Teeters three blocks away. Less than one block to Barracks Row gas lamp district with wide brick sidewalks, shops, and lots of great restaurants.
Your friends will always want to come to this area because you can walk to all the cafes, restaurants and watering holes from the famous 8th Street Barracks Row to the Capitol Hill stretch of Pennsylvania Avenue to Eastern Market. Short walk to Capitol Building.
Includes garage parking space and remote control.
Check out the stained glass throughout the building, even the garage! Just completed new roof for entire building--take a look at the new copper flashings all around. You will love relaxing on the rooftop deck. Beautiful.
This one-of-a-kind home in a one-of-a-kind building in a truly perfect location.
Q. Can I walk to markets/grocery stores/pharmacy?
A. Yes, multiple grocery stores within walking distance:
- Eastern Market (1 block) bunch of specialty counters each with all kinds of food. Check out easternmarket-dc online. The place is a European-style market with all kinds of specialty counters with everything from fresh fruits, veggies, pastas, breads, meat, fish--and even a famous pancake place. The market is one block away and is the reason everyone loves this part of DC.
- Yes! New Trader Joe's across the street
- Organic Market 1 block--this is my favorite!
- Safeway at D/14th (4 blocks)
- Mangialardo and Sons at Pennsylvania/13th (5 blocks) -- great specialty meat, cheeses and breads
- Harris Teeters at Pennsylvania/14th (6 blocks)
There is a CVS (same as Walgreens) at Pennsylvania/7th (1.5 blocks).
The other great aspect is the bars and restaurants along 8th Street Corridor. Check out the list of places here: barracksrow online
and peruse the site to see what a cool community it is--all right across the street!
