Private furnished room in beautiful shared 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment in Columbia Heights (NW DC)
One year lease.… Available in August, September 1, or Sept 15.
The larger bedroom of the 2 bedrooms is available, offers a huge closet, queen-sized bed, side cabinet, and dresser.
Must like cats! Two awesome cats live here too. The gray one (Gus) is a lovebug whereas the black one (Ninja) appears nonchalant but will always be somewhere nearby. Very well-behaved and litterbox trained; never had an incident on that front. They are both playful and couch potatoes, very food oriented.
Evenings are quiet and there's little-to-no street noise because of the apartment's location within the building.
Current flatmate has lived in the unit for several years and attends graduate school at GW. Ideal incoming roommate is someone who is friendly, clean, and respectful. If you like to read, drink wine, or watch awards shows, even better! No smokers please. Herbal refreshments can be enjoyed outside on the private balcony.
Apartment is a 10-12 min walk from the green & yellow metro lines (stops: Columbia Heights or Petworth). Giant Grocery, Lidl, Target, Marshalls, and gyms (NYSC or Sweat DC) are all easy walking distances away. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and U Street are a 20 min walk (plus bus options for accessibility), and Petworth's Upshur St is 15ish mins north. The bus lines D74, D44/D40, and C63 are especially convenient. Street parking available.
Building is not wheelchair accessible.
