Home is currently occupied by two young men with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Each has 1-2 staff members that assists them with daily living tasks.
Location is ideal - near Hwy 1 & 9, Costco, UCSC, and downtown SC. Adjacent to Pogonip Park on a peaceful acre, with a willow-draped running creek. Short drive to shopping, beach, etc.
Spacious rooms, all-electric (solar!), new appliances, room-by-room heat & a/c, high-speed fibre. Street parking available (lot parking is not).
One adult may occupy the room.
Rent @$1,400/month, $1,400 deposit.
A $35 non-refundable background check/credit report fee per applicant and co-signer will be charged for applicants under final consideration.
Given that the current residents have disabilities, this room is ideal for someone who is kind, accepting, quiet and willing to wear headphones if watching TV/listening to music. We hope the right person would enjoy being around young men who have communication and mobility challenges, but are happy and able to fully participate in all that life has to offer them. The house has a mandated "quiet time" from 9:00 PM - 8:00 AM.
There is a $40 monthly contribution to household supplies.
