This is a lovely duplex apartment in Mahncke Park. Two story, 2 bedroom, 1 bath, wood floors, ceiling fans throughout. Just installed energy efficient split system ACs last month. Lots of new, energy efficient windows for plenty of natural light. Washer/dryer hookups (just built a full size washer/dryer shed on the back porch to free up kitchen space), tankless water heater, off-street parking, back porch, and big backyard.
Xeriscaped landscaping in front yard, full of lovely native species that pop with colorful blooms in the spring and summer (feel free to drive by for a look before our first freeze!) Large backyard with ample space to play catch, build a garden, or just take in some sun. Planted several new species in the backyard in early spring, with more on the way. Nice, big back porch, perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxing.
I'm currently in the middle of renovations, (sanding and refinishing the wood floors, new ACs, painting, etc), but have not yet finished. The photos I've posted here show how it has looked and can look - but it's a blank slate right now, with lots of exciting possibilities. I will be painting the interior soon (and the exterior before too long), and am open to painting custom accent walls before or after move-in.
Excellent location - Pearl 5 minutes south, Central Market 5 minutes north. SA Botanical Garden just a few blocks' walk away, two excellent taquerias not far. Very bikeable area. Easy access to Broadway, N. New Braunfels and 281, as well as St. Mary's strip, Brackenridge Park, UIW, SAC, Trinity, Fort Sam, etc. This is a really great place; I have put lots of love into it over the years, and I'm hoping to find people who can really appreciate it.
No property management company involved, maintained by owner - I do my own maintenance whenever possible, and am always available to address any issues that may arise.
$38 application fee - I only charge what it costs me to run background check, etc; I don't charge extra to make money off your application.
