About the building
This whimsical furnished beach cottage is set on a very special little pond which we share with exquisite Florida seabirds.… I'm an interior designer, so the home is tastefully decorated with a seaside theme to give my guests the feel of a proper summer beach vacation. It's about 7 minutes drive from the beach and just a couple of minutes from Englewood s infamous Dearborn street, where lots of fun activities take place. Two bedrooms, but sleeps up to 6 people, or more if children, I can provide extra blow-up beds upon request to accommodate extra guests.
The pond is actually owned by the beautiful and protected birds who reside there, but they have graciously allowed us to share it with them. There are egrets, blue herons, wood-storks, ibis and plenty of other species that are truly a magical sight to behold. Our birds will come right up to the lanai to share the sunset with you or provide delightful entertainment during your morning coffee. They are polite, never loud or annoying and they don t poo everywhere like geese. Your kids or grandkids will love them!
The home has an open floor plan with two bedrooms, both ensuite and at different ends of the property, allowing utmost privacy. The master bedroom has a King bed and the guest room has bunk beds with Queen at the bottom and a Single on top.
The large glass sliding doors pocket away to allow for indoor / outdoor Florida living. The kitchen comes with all the necessary appliances including a Kureg for the coffee connoisseur, an electric kettle for the tea drinker and a common or garden coffee maker for those who don t want all the fancy schmancy stuff. Also, there is a steamer, a slow cooker, a mixer and other extra kitchen gadgets readily available for you to use.
Englewood is a charming little town, nestled between Venice and Port Charlotte and Piccadilly Estates is a lovely quiet, very safe neighborhood, perfect for a Florida get away. There are golf courses, beach bars and dining, a local Farmers Market on Thursdays in Old Englewood , Jazz nights on Dearborn, a sunset beach drum circle close by and lots of other activities to enjoy all within a few minutes away.
I have only rented it out a couple of times so everything is new and several guests have expressed the desire to come back next season, which is always as good sign. You will love staying at this very special home.
