    This is the worst place I've lived in LA so far, primarily due to the management. Upon moving in I discovered that the heater did not work (which took over a month to replace), the gas line to the stove was not set up, sinks were stopped up, kitchen outlets were blocked, and the place was not thoroughly cleaned. Not a good start. Since then, it's just been one thing after another. The simplest maintenance requests take weeks to respond to, if at all. 

There's terrible soundproofing done in this building, to the point where you can hear every footstep and conversation in the apartment above you, so good luck if you live on the first floor. Construction has been going on for months, which would normally be OK, except there isn't any real update provided to tenants around how long things will be going, what is being worked on, where in the building, and during what hours. Workers will often start loud drilling at 7 or so in the morning, every day of the week, and go all day. At the very least, it would be nice to have a break from the noise on the weekends or Sundays.

Upon move-in I was told end of the month most construction would be done, but that was almost two months ago with no end in sight, and I've heard the leaser saying the same thing to new prospective tenants. The constant construction also creates another problem with the soundproofing, since I can hear everything from the hallways and the other apartments being worked on. So if you need peace and quiet in your home or you WFH, as many of us are these days, again, good luck. It echoes throughout the whole building, and there's no rugs or anything on the wall in the hallways to dampen sound. The back door to the apartment building also is also kept open all day and night, which has to be a safety hazard. Construction in general is a little shoddy -- I've only been here two months and I'm already seeing wear and tear on walls and cabinets. 

On the surface level, I think they did a good job remodeling. I love the exposed brick and various features in the apartment, and I like the area (although it'd be great if they could clean the steps and area in and around the front door). But buyers please beware -- the many headaches you will most likely experience moving here far exceed the nice surface. I would not recommend it.
