WHAT'S THE HOUSE LIKE?
CLASSIC Jersey Shore ranch updated for today's needs. Sweet, clean, and scrupulously maintained. Three comfy bedrooms SLEEP SIX (one queen, two with two twins each -- plus a VERY comfortable pull-out queen in the living room SLEEPS TWO - for overflow). Designer bathroom plus a private, fully enclosed outdoor shower includes laundry w/high-capacity washer and gas dryer. Kitchen has gas stove, full fridge, full size dishwasher, double sink, large breakfast counter, spices, and all the gadgets you need to prepare practically anything. Fresh herb garden for use just outside the back door.
Spacious open dining/living room, Firestick TV and streaming services, WiFi, central A/C (ocean breezes no extra charge). Unique native garden provides unusually generous outdoor space and privacy, with patio and lounge areas, Picnic table, sunny and shady areas, five-burner propane gas grill, enclosed outdoor shower. Off-street parking.
Just a minute's walk from a magnificent private beach. (Beach badge rental through the beach association.) NO HIDDEN FEES - electric, gas, water, streaming and live TV, and Internet are all included. The house is stocked with books, board games, and videos for your use. No cleaning fee is added on to the rental. Renters are responsible for leaving the property as found or better. Cleaning supplies are provided.

* HOW NEAR THE BEACH? About 200 feet - three houses from a quiet PRIVATE BEACH and the Atlantic Ocean.
* WHERE IS NORMANDY? Located equidistant from Seaside and Point Pleasant, just north of Silver Beach. Normandy is ideal for a QUIET, relaxing stay at the Jersey Shore. Homes are mostly owner-occupied with very nice neighbors. Low traffic lane and uncrowded beach.
* ANY RESOURCES NEARBY? Excellent local restaurants, deli/grocery, specialty shops, services, and Wawa within walking distance. More in nearby Lavallette, Brick, Bay Head, and Point Pleasant. Once you arrive, you won't need your car much until you head to the boardwalks or leave to return home.
* WHAT ELSE IS NEARBY? The Boardwalks, kayak and bicycle rentals, Island Beach State Park, Cattus Island County Park, other attractions, services, facilities, and activities all within a very short drive. About 45 minutes from Great Adventure.
* IS THE HOUSE ADA COMPLIANT? No. There are three entry steps in front and two in back. The bathroom is NOT wheelchair accessible.
* DO YOU DISCOUNT FOR LONGER-TERM RENTALS? Yes. We reduce our weekly rate after two weeks' stay by $100 per week starting with the third and subsequent weeks.
* GETTING THERE: Normandy is about 70 miles from Manhattan, 80 miles from Philadelphia. Commuter buses to Toms River, Lakewood, and commuter rail to Point Pleasant and Bay Head). Three miles north of Lavallette, six miles north of Seaside Heights, seven miles south of the Point Pleasant Beach Boardwalk.
THE FINE PRINT:
* Check in: Saturdays after 2PM -- Checkout: Saturdays before 11AM. Owners inspect between each rental.
* Rentals by weekly increments. We don't do daily rentals.
* New renters must provide full contact information, a credit report (CreditKarma dot com is fine) and 2 references - mandatory
* Mutually binding standard contract, 50% Deposit upon signing contract and Balance by June 1st required.
* $250 Security - refunded after inspection for damage.
* Renters supply their own towels, sheets, and personal products such as soaps, shampoos, etc. Owner provides many other amenities including umbrellas and beach chairs.
* Beach Use: buy discounted weekly badges ($40 weekly rate with rental) in advance through the Normandy Shores beach association. Daily badges may be purchased with the lifeguards on the beach.
* House is regularly checked between rentals.
* Sorry, no pets - no exceptions.
* No smoking inside the house.
* Renters are responsible for placing trash curbside (trash Mondays and Thursdays, recycling Fridays). Township Robo-cans provided.
* Renters must return property in "as-found or better" condition. Owner does not provide cleaning service but can refer services if requested.
