About the building

Available for the first time in six years, the unit is the front half of a Craftsman in the most desirable location in North Park--Morley Field. It is a two bedroom, one bath unit totaling 700 square feet. It is one block from the nearest restaurant, yet still feels like a quiet residential neighborhood. Located one block from the Mini-Park and the Thursday Farmer's Market, two blocks from CH Project hits, Part-Time Lover and Leila, you will never lack for great food, drink and entertainment options. The ground floor walkup feels more like a house than an apartment. There is roughly 400 square feet of private, fenced patio space that is partially covered. There is easily enough outdoor space for a grill and a full patio step. There is no included parking, but street parking is easier than you would expect--I never parked more than a block away when I resided there for six years. There is a private washer/dryer attached to the back of the unit, with some degree of additional storage in the laundry room. There is also a window A/C unit included. All appliances have been (or will be before you arrive) updated in recent years. My wife and I still live one block away, so you will not have to deal with automated messaging or websites if you have a repair or other issue, as you can simply text me or knock on our door since I am the property manager. Pets are allowed, including any size dog. I do not charge pet rent. I am also very upfront about rent increases--whenever a lease is up, IF there is a rent increase, I will use the San Diego CPI-U inflation rate to recalculate your rent. Currently, it is around 3% annually. If you want a two year lease, I will usually offer a lease for less than the CPI-U, and if you go month to month, it will be higher. I also own a studio on the same block with a private bedroom and bathroom. Upon request, since there are almost no hotels in North Park, if you have friends and family visiting, they can stay in the studio for $100 for the first night and $75/night thereafter. Please use the Zillow application for proof of earnings and credit check. Rent is $3,400.00/month and includes water and trash. Security deposit is $1,500.00. The pet deposit is $500.00. I can arrange a showing pretty much any time as I live around the block, although current tenants still live there, so we have to be respectful. Unit is available August 19, 2026.
