The home is a short 5 minute drive to the town of Crestone and nearby spiritual centers. Passive solar and a backup wood stove heat the home during the colder months, while the natural insulation of the strawbale construction, thoughtful airflow design, and a portable AC units help keep the home cool in the summer. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances (French door refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave), gas stovetop & double ovens, and concrete countertops, plus a pantry and cold room. *Note - there is no garbage disposal* The upstairs level includes two bedrooms, a full bath, and a loft. The upstairs primary suite offers an en-suite bath with large soaking tub, bidet, dual closets, and balcony access with panoramic mountain and valley views. The second bedroom includes a skylight, closet space, and beautiful mountain views. Downstairs, there is an additional full bathroom and cozy bedroom with closet space. Additional amenities include a bright sunroom with planter boxes, a functional mudroom, a laundry room with a large Kenmore washer/dryer set and utility sink, and an in-floor heated studio space ideal for work, art, yoga, meditation, or storage.
