About 2700 4th Ave #207

This cozy-breezy corner unit is well suited for a single person or couple with small or no pets, no car, non-hoarder, who wants more than anything to be within a short walk of everything Seattle has to offer. You can see the Space Needle from the living room window, and walk over to a hockey match or concert in 5 minutes. Hop on the monorail to link up with the South Lake Union Trolley or Link light rail in the Westlake tunnel station. Rent a scooter outside to explore the city or walk 1 block to 3rd Ave to catch a bus. Parades and marches go by on 4th Ave sometimes, and even through Tilikum Place Plaza and the alleyway just outside the window. With windows open you will hear laughter and chatter from the nearby bar on busy summer nights, and it can lend a certain ambiance for those amenable to it. For the most part the area is peaceful and enjoyable, for city standards. The space is 442 sq. ft. which is on the small end, but not tiny. I lived there comfortably as a bachelor, and with my wife as a couple, and our baby. We moved out to gain a yard and a dog as well. It's easy to heat in the winter with baseboard heating, and keeps cool in summer with a nominal sea breeze that flows through the open windows. The bedroom window has a great view of Tilikum Place Plaza and the Chief Seattle statue there. Many people traverse the plaza each day, so if you're a people-watcher this is for you. The monorail can be seen whooshing by a few times an hour from the bedroom and kitchen, and you can watch the steady rise and fall of the elevator on the Space Needle from the front room window, which also has a view of the alley between Zeek's, Verve, and our building. The blinds installed in the unit can be adjusted to cover the lower part of the window and still get a great view and sun coming in through the upper window. The building is old, with basement workout room and clubhouse, laundry mat, and storage areas. The laundry area provides 3 washers and 3 dryers, all modern and well-maintained front-load units. You can pay for the laundry machines using an app on your phone or coins if you want. WiFi is provided in the laundry area and clubhouse/gym and the gym equipment and TV are free to use. The room can be reserved for private functions. Parking is on the streets and can be paid for by app or by phone (PayByPhone) or at the curb, and follows the 'Belltown - North' payment schedule ($1/hr starting at 8AM, $2/hr from 11AM to 8PM, and $1.50 until 8PM, free on Sundays and holidays). 'Uptown Triangle' is just across Denny and charges $1.50/hr 11AM to 6PM and free after that, so you can park over there to save a bit and get a little exercise. (street parking rate map available at Seattle City website, ask me for a link) Nearby garages charge $250+/month, which is comparable to having a car on street parking in my experience. Maps show many nearby options. The rooftop deck is compact, with a barbeque grill and a couple of chairs. You can see the sound, the mountains, and many landmarks of the city itself from up there. Seagulls occasionally nest on the roof, and hawks and eagles regularly patrol the skies. Nearby restaurants and bars: Tilikum Place Cafe Pho Viet Anh Zeeks Pizza The 5 Point Cafe Bambinos Pizzeria Mantra Thai Grecian Corner McDonalds Subway Close attractions: Climate Pledge Arena Space Needle Theaters and art studios Pacific Northwest Ballet International Fountain Waterfront Amazon Spheres Lake Union Walk to museums: MoPop MOHAI Chihuly Garden Pacific Science Center Olympic Sculpture Garden Seattle Art Museum Waterfront and Pike Place Market Great Wheel Gum Wall Seattle Aquarium And lots more! Leases are available long-term, or we can work out a month-to month contract. Small pets are allowed, no smoking or vaping tobacco. Let me know if you're interested and we'll set up a tour!
