Make yourself at home in this magical eco-retreat. This house offers an escape into nature in the high-desert mountains. The casita is nestled into a 4,000 acre wilderness preserve. Drink coffee on the back patio in the mornings, while listening to the sounds of birds, hike the ponderosa forest right out your back door, watch the amazing sunsets from the upstairs balcony, listen to the coyotes and foxes at night, and enjoy epic star gazing with New Mexico's dark skies. All just 25 min from downtown Santa Fe and 10 minutes from Eldorado.
This property is a 2-story custom house with full kitchen, both gas and wood heat and access to washer/dryer.
Although it has all the amenities you'd expect in a conventional home (hot-water, electricity, and heating), we aim to be sustainable with our resources which come from solar energy and a private well, so we use a Laveo Dry Flush toilet to conserve water. Toilet liners are purchased by tenant.
Exterior spaces include patio, pond, yard, the surrounding forested area and the communal fire pit/outdoor dining area. The wilderness preserve is just steps from your door and offers hours of hiking and nature discovery. Plus, plenty of secure parking onsite.
