Drink coffee on the front patio in the mornings, while listening to the sounds of birds, hike the ponderosa forest right out your back door, watch the amazing sunsets from the backyard hot tub, listen to the coyotes and foxes at night, and enjoy epic star gazing with New Mexico's dark skies. All just 25 min from downtown Santa Fe and 10 minutes from Eldorado.
This property is a 2-story custom house with full kitchen, walk in pantry, hot tub, 2 full baths, kiva fireplace and wood stove, spacious rooms with gorgeous natural light, gardens, fruit trees, both propane and wood heat and washer/dryer.
Although it has all the amenities you'd expect in a conventional home (hot-water, electricity, and heating), the house is partially off-grid. We aim to be sustainable with our resources which come partially from solar energy, propane and a private well, so we are seeking tenants who are resource conscious and enjoy living in sustainable, harmonious ways with our beautiful land.
Exterior spaces include patio, pond, front and backyard, hot tub, the surrounding forested area and the communal fire pit/outdoor dining area. The wilderness preserve is just steps from your door and offers hours of hiking and nature discovery. Plus, plenty of secure parking onsite.
Although most days the road is easy to traverse with an 2WD vehicle, all wheel drive or 4WD is a must for monsoon season and winter snows. We plow the roads with 3in or more of snow.
