The Emerald View Chalet offers 4500 square feet of living space and over 1100 feet of deck space. The upper level features a large "Great Room" with quartzite stone floors, 25-foot vaulted ceilings, massive log beams, and panoramic views. The living room includes an oversized fireplace, a large HDTV with surround sound, and luxurious seating for 10. The dining table also seats 10 and has access to the front deck with a natural gas grill. The gourmet kitchen is ideal for entertaining, featuring 2 sinks, a large island with bar seating, double ovens, an ice maker, an extra-large custom refrigerator, and a professional gas range. Downstairs, the Game Room can double as a fifth bedroom and includes a full-size pool table, a wet bar with a wine fridge and mini-fridge, and a home theater system with surround sound. The home is equipped with 3 king-size beds, 2 queen-size beds, and 4 twin beds.
Paid add-ons include discounts on ski and snowboard rentals, and airport shuttles. Parking is available with one space in the heated garage and space for 3-4 additional vehicles outside. Trailers, campers, and RVs are not allowed. A car is recommended, and four-wheel or all-wheel drive may be necessary for access during winter months due to a somewhat steep driveway. Street parking is prohibited in winter.
Perched on the west slope of Mount Werner and the Park Range, the Emerald View Chalet offers exceptional views of the entire Yampa Valley, including the Sarvis Creek Wilderness, Stagecoach State Park, the Flat Tops Wilderness, Emerald Mountain, downtown Steamboat Springs, Howelsen Hill Ski Area, and Sleeping Giant. These valley views can be enjoyed from 3 of the 4 bedrooms, the Great Room, both decks, and the Game Room. Access to beginner ski trails is about one-third of a mile away, while advanced skiers may be able to ski to within 150 meters of the front door. A car is recommended for convenient access, with parking for 4-5 vehicles. Steamboat's free year-round bus picks up and drops off about 1 mile from the home.
This is a non-smoking property, and any violation of the smoking policy is cause for immediate termination of the rental, including eviction, without refund, and retention of any security deposit, plus charges or liability for damages. Noise monitoring devices and security cameras are present on the exterior of the property to ensure security and safety. Parties, events, and gatherings are strictly prohibited unless written approval has been provided prior to booking. Violations may subject the guest to immediate eviction without refund, retention of any security deposit, and/or charges or liability for damages. Access to the property is provided 24/7 via an electronic keypad. One grand flight of stairs leads to the upper level from the lower level entry. Due to the existence of pet allergies, this home is maintained as pet-free and animal-free for owners and guests with allergies. Pets and service animals are not permitted in the home or on the premises. There may be circumstances that create an exception to this policy, but only if the guest provides advance notice of the presence of a service animal in writing before booking and receives specific approval. A "High Occupancy Fee" of $25 per person per night applies for each guest over the standard occupancy of 8 people. The maximum occupancy of the property is 12. The reserving party and all adults in the group must be at least 30 years old. Groups with any adults younger than 30 must inquire for approval. Triple Crown groups, bachelor or bachelorette groups, and construction industry groups must inquire for approval. Pools and hot tubs, if advertised, may be seasonal and may close for cleaning or maintenance. Inquire to confirm availability during your stay.
The Game Room can be made private and doubles as a fifth bedroom, featuring a home theater system with surround sound, making it a great place to spread out larger groups.
