There's a dining table underneath a cherry tree and comfortable seating on different levels of the patio. There's also a guest house available for rent separately. This 2200 SF single story home is perfectly situated 7 minutes from Kinderhook, 18 minutes from Hudson, and 15 minutes from Chatham. It's in the Chatham school district and is 18 minutes to Hawthorne Valley. It's 35-40 minutes from downhill skiing. The house is divided into two wings: On one side of the house, there is an open plan kitchen/dining room with floor to ceiling windows that overlook the expansive property. The kitchen has a dining table for 12, plus a couch. The separate living room has comfortable seating, a warm wood stove, an upright piano, and a large television. The other side of the house features four bedrooms: Bedroom 1: 1 King with en suite bathroom with shower Bedroom 2: 1 King Bed Bedroom 3: 1 Queen Bed Bedroom 4: 1 Bunk Beds plus trundle to sleep three. (Bedrooms 2 - 4 share a bathroom with a bathtub.) In the winter months you'll look out over tranquil white snow. If conditions are right, you can skate on the pond and sled on the hills in the yard. In the spring and summer the lush gardens come to life. Rolling green hills lead down to the amazing swimming pond with Bali-inspired deck below. There is also a play set out back with a jungle gym, slide and 2 swings. Forage for oyster mushrooms, blackberries and ramps along the edge of the forest! A rarity in the US, but popular in Europe, our pond was built as a natural swimming pool, using plants to filter the water and a pump system, but no chemicals - and we have redirected a natural spring to feed it. While there are fish, frogs, and turtles in the water it's much cleaner than a typical pond of this size, and invites swimming and jumping into the water from the floating dock. The house is stocked with games for both adults and young ones. **There is a guest house on the property which rents separately and is about 250ft from the main house.
