A two month summer sublet is available in a restored, elegant Edwardian four blocks from campus.… Join a group of friendly graduate and returning students in a beautiful house in the south campus area. The house has both international and domestic students. The house and rooms are completely furnished. A highly cost effective housing arrangement, each room has sleeping and sitting/eating areas. Ideal for those coming to Berkeley from some distance or abroad as no time or expense will be necessary to set up a household. The kitchen is completely furnished with appliances, dishes, quality pots and pans, microwave, and incidentals such as dishtowels. Both College Avenue and Telegraph are close by. Public transportation is two blocks away and there are three major grocery stores within a mile reachable by public transit, biking or walking. UC Berkeley is a ten-minute walk from the house. The house atmosphere is friendly, mature, clean and respectful for those that value quiet along with a sense of community, conversations or going out with housemates. A cleaning person comes in twice a month and chores are shared the remaining weeks. Utilities are included in the rent and WiFi is available at a nominal cost. Utilities are very, very high in Berkeley. Rent reduction is available in exchange for household tasks performed. Unusual for houses close to campus, this house has yards and gardens with several places to study or have house dinners. Combining the best of both worlds, private areas and common space, the house has seven-bedrooms, 2 full and 2 half baths. We are looking for people who will fit with the house culture: friendly, a little OCD when it comes to cleaning, respectful of others, capable communicator. Please note that this is a low density household and there is only one person to a room It is a smoke free property. Due to allergies, no pets allowed.
