100-year-old craftsman home with original details but modern kitchen and bathrooms. Hardwood floors, walk-in closet, spacious yard, large deck, and greenhouse in a friendly neighborhood. There is off-street parking (behind the fence) for up to three cars to the East of the house. Two bedrooms on the top floor, as well as one on the finished side of the basement (the basement bedroom also has a bonus room). Laundry on the unfinished side of the basement. Large greenhouse, raised beds, edible native plants, and fruit trees (the garden will be planted and ready for you to begin harvest when you move in). Beautiful kitchen including butcher block counters, wine fridge, and a french door refrigerator, opens onto a big back deck, great for entertaining. We can leave the patio furniture if you would like it. Forced air heating and AC. Solar Panels. High-speed, fiber-optic internet. An alarm system is already installed if you want to use it. Home is unfurnished.
Move-in date is July 1. Option to move in early (June 25). Solar panels fully covered the electric bill for us. Other bills are paid by tenant.
5-minute walk to Columbian & Beacon (Clock Out Lounge, Fou Lee Market, and our favorite garden store and dry cleaners). 15-minute walk to Columbia City (light rail, PCC, coffee shops, restaurants etc.). 25-minute walk to North Beacon Hill / Jefferson Park. 10-minute drive to Trader Joe's in West Seattle. 30-minute bus ride to downtown (bus stop is 2 blocks away). Access to Chief Sealth Trail is half a block away and is great for runs and walks away from cars.
The garden and yard can be maintained by you or by a gardener at your expense. We are really hoping to find someone that is excited about the garden. Dogs are acceptable on a case-by-case basis, with an additional deposit and additional rent.
