Welcome to Hidden Harbor Cottage in Falmouth. This property has recently been through a complete renovation and is fully furnished with cozy coastal decor. The fresh color-scheme and windows lend a spacious and bright aura to the home. The serene backyard abuts a tidal river where deer, wild turkeys and a plethora of songbirds spend the day. There is a patio with a grill and outdoor dining table for long lunches, reading or gazing at the surrounding nature. FIRST FLOOR: There are two entrances, one brings you directly into the kitchen, where there is a bistro table for four that abuts a window overlooking the yard. With custom white cabinetry, pantry, stainless appliances, granite counters and a wooden breakfast bar with a collapsible leaf for additional seating, the design of the kitchen makes abundant use of the cozy space. Pops of color are found in the cushions, throw rugs and Maine-inspired art. Off the kitchen is a sunken living area that also has the second entrance into the cottage, which leads you right to the outdoor patio. There is a large flat panel TV over an antique wood and glass cabinet that is full of books and games for your use. The walnut-colored floors add a lovely warmth to the room along with taupe walls, a comfy denim couch and matching armchair with a large circular ottoman and a bay window that allows in natural light and fresh air. This room also has the heat pump for your AC and heating needs. SECOND FLOOR: The two bedrooms and one bathroom are on this level. The primary bedroom has a nautical feel with a king bed with a navy headboard with silver metal accents & blue and white striped duvet cover. There is a small writing desk with lamp and newly upholstered chair for writing postcards (emails!) to all of your friends back home. A painted bed stand with reading lamp, bureau and large closet round out plenty of room to store your belongings. Two large windows over the bed allow for fresh air and natural light. The secondary room is carpeted so it could also be used for an exercise room or quiet office if needed. There is a double bed with painted cream headboard and soft blue linens. There is a couch that can fit 2-3 facing a bureau with a television. Over the couch is a large metal compass rose, reminding us to always follow our true north. Two elevated square windows allow for less light flow, so this room is great for those who like to sleep in or like watching TV with no window glare. There is also a heat pump and ceiling fan. The bathroom has new tile flooring, standup glass shower and two free-standing cabinets for towels and toiletries. OUTDOOR LIVING: Overlooking the tidal river and woods, there is a newly constructed private stone patio with grill and table for enjoying al fresco meals while gazing out at the serene view.
