This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom (plus bonus room/office/bedroom/small garage) single level gem is located on Newport Avenue at Kilkenny in the Walking District of south Cardiff and is an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. With an open floor plan, this home boasts red oak floors, lots of natural light and a private fully fenced in, spectacularly landscaped tropical front yard.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need during your stay including new kitchenware, small appliances, and linens--the works! The appliances are all LG and brand new. The bathroom has a 6' tub, separate shower and classic Carrera marble throughout plus new, thick, luxurious towels. Both bedrooms have very large closets as well as large windows, perfect for experiencing cool breezes and listening to the crashing surf. Both queen beds are draped in comfy, high thread-count sheets, hypoallergenic bedding, and hotel quality pillows. The bonus room has lots of cabinetry for storage, space for surf boards, beach supplies and bikes, and has a washer/dryer for your use. Because there is a window, this room can also be used as a third bedroom!
Off the kitchen and through the picture window, there is a 600 square foot succulent framed back patio that is perfect for sunbathing and entertaining friends. And yes, it has an ocean view!
South Cardiff-by-the-Sea boasts year-round spectacular weather and the "Walking District" is the prime location for easy access to the beach and shops. With walking trails at the nearby San Elijo Lagoon and reserve, a world class surf break at Cardiff Reef, the Fairgrounds that hosts dozens of events each year including the San Diego Fair and Del Mar Thoroughbred races, there is something for everyone.
Downtown San Diego's famous Gaslamp Distict is a 20 minute drive, and the airport is only 30 minutes away. The Coaster is available and drops off in front of the stadiums, Fairgrounds/racetrack for sports enthusiasts who don't wish to drive.
Cardiff is an upscale yet relaxed community, a fantastic combination. A park with tennis, volleyball and basketball courts is a block away. There are 9 restaurants and bars within half a mile of the house as well as shopping, specialty shops, a gourmet market, dry cleaners, bike and surfboard rentals, a library, post office, etc.

With pre-approval, a small, very well behaved pet may be permitted to stay in the unit as long as it does not jump on the furniture or sleep in the beds.
