Applicants must pass a background check consistent with DC's Fair Criminal Record Screening for Housing Act, conducted only after a conditional offer of tenancy and limited to convictions within the timeframe DC law allows. A history of on-time rent payments and positive rental references is preferred. This housing provider will not refuse to rent to an applicant because they will pay some or all of the rent through a District or federal rental assistance voucher.
