A comfortable and sunny apartment with private kitchen and bathroom at a convenient location in University City.… Minutes of walk to Penn campus, grocery stores and plenty of restaurants.
Landlord lives right on the first floor of the house to manage the building and take care of tenants. Most windows in this apartment face south, bringing in a lot of natural light to the unit. Two closets in the apartment to store lots of clothing and personal items. Central AC in the summer and radiator heating in the winter. Landlord pays trash, furniture, high speed internet, and etc. Tenants pay for water, gas and electricity (between $170 and $200 per month based on past year's numbers). On-street free or permit parking spots outside the house.
The house is located in a safe neighborhood within Penn Policy Patrol Zone and right on Penn Bus route. Major grocery stores, lots of restaurants and a movie theater are located just two or three blocks away. Route 42 bus and Trolley station are minutes away by walking. All nearby public transportation takes you to center city in as quickly as 15 minutes.
Shared laundry facilities in the building.
One year lease required. At the time of lease signing, three months of rent are due (first month, last month, and a security deposit that's worth one month of rent).

"I lived in the one bedroom unit at the Clark House for the two years I spent in Philadelphia due to temporary academic job and my experience has been great. It is a very clean, quiet, furnished and historical building at a great location. It is great for focusing on work or studying both during day time and evening. Strong thick walls and stones prevent noise from outside. The building is bordering the Upenn campus so its is in walking distance to the entire campus and security is also good since campus security patrols the streets. There are busses going to city center that stop at the unit's block and trolley stop is just a few blocks away. There is a nearby green park, coffee shops, and lots of eating options. Most importantly our landlord is very responsive and helpful with any issues, repairs and questions. The rent price is very convenient and it is hard to find such a place. "
