Spacious, fully furnished bedroom in beautiful, highly unique two-bedroom (plus den) shared row house near Eastern Market, Lincoln Park, Barracks Row -- and within walking distance of the blue/orange line (6-minute walk), the U.S. Capitol and the Library of Congress -- available for short-term rental (3 to 6 months, possibly longer). The house and yard are colorful and cozy, with lots of artwork and plants. The bedroom is 625 square feet -- the size of a studio apartment -- and has up to half of a large walk-in closet, a sitting area, and a desk/office area. The second bedroom, currently rented but featured in photos for information purposes, also has hardwood floors, exposed brick and it's own sitting area and office alcove. Both bedrooom occupants share access to a remodeled upstairs bath, a spacious kitchen and dining area downstairs, a washer/dryer and a front yard sitting area. Utilities -- including wifi, water, gas and electric -- are split between renters. Parking is on the street; two bike-share stations nearby. This room is available for one person in full-month intervals (no pro-rating of days when the fellowship ends the third week in the month, in other words, sorry!). Rent is higher during the summer months and/or for short-term rentals. Credit check and one-month security deposit required. The owner of the house, a longtime free-lance writer and gardener/landscape designer, has a well-behaved young pup and splits her time between DC and DE. If interested AND IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A RESPONSE, please provide details about yourself, your situation, your proposed length of stay, and what your expectations are as a housemate (e.g., need temporary housing during a fellowship, just moved to area for a new job, like to cook or mostly order takeout, etc. -- thanks!).
