Olympic Valley is home to Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw/Alpine), one of the largest ski areas in North Lake Tahoe and the host of the 1960 Winter Olympics. With 6,000 skiable acres, 43 chairlifts, and the only funitel in the U.S., Palisades Tahoe is a dream destination for skiers and snowboarders alike. Perfectly located between Truckee and North Lake Tahoe, you're just minutes away from everything the region has to offer.
Tavern Inn sits just inside the entrance to Olympic Valley, less than 2 miles from the lifts. Next door is a county park with a great playground, soccer field, and pickle-ball courts. Ride or walk the bike path to the base area Village or to Tahoe City and beyond.
