This charming, hand-built house features two bathrooms in the main house: one with a Jacuzzi-style tub and the other with a shower and dedicated on-demand water heater. Two additional cabin rooms are available with their own entrances, electricity, and AC, though they lack plumbing (a port-a-potty is located outside). A third room is a tiny house with a full bath. The property includes Wi-Fi and a Roku TV in the master bedroom with streaming services.
For larger groups, inquire about extra guest fees and additional cabins. Extra overnight guests are $45/night and day guests are $25/day. Pets are welcome; please provide details about each pet, including shedding, chewing habits, potty training status, and whether they will be crated when left alone.
Located just a few minutes from charming downtown Belton, this property offers easy access to great dining, a historic theater, and shopping. It's also 10 miles to Salado and about an hour to Austin and 6th street. The location is ideal for events connected to the Bell County Expo Center, UMHB, or Fort Hood, and is about 45 minutes north to Waco, Magnolia, and the silos. This slice of country heaven is surrounded by hundreds of acres of unoccupied land, with only one unseen neighbor a few hundred feet away.
As a hand-built house in the country, expect to see wildlife such as deer, skunks, beavers, and snakes. You may also encounter wasp nests and hear the train a couple of times. Please refrain from hunting or shooting guns on the property. Kayaks should be returned to their original location after use, and fishing gear must be cared for and returned. Check the Bell County website regarding burn bans before having campfires, as it is Texas. The water is deep well water that is filtered and oxidized, which may cause it to appear cloudy with air for a few moments after coming out of the faucet; this is normal. The 12-foot swim spa is deep and requires constant supervision of children. Please rinse off before transitioning from the river to the spa and try to keep sandy feet out. The spa can be heated up to 104F and as low as 90F, but it does not cool off quickly in the summer; let us know if you prefer it in the 90s. Bookings that generate a same-day turnaround may have a later check-in time. A signed liability waiver is required after booking due to the creek and other property features. House rules include: no muddy feet or wet dogs indoors, smoking outside only, no trash left outside, check on burn bans before fires, no shooting without permission, no off-road driving if muddy, swim at your own risk, and no driving under the influence.
