About the building
This is a winter rental from November 1 - April 30 2027. The cabin is in a unique community and very hard to find a rental.… The home is built on stilts over the Puget Sound in an old growth forest. The property is within the Pt. Defiance park with 720 acres of forest, playgrounds and beautiful gardens. You will see whales during migration, the seals, eagles, egrets, seagulls... so much wild life. There is a private hot tub for 2, gas grill and a kayak for your use. At low tide walk to the seal rookery and to Owens beach then have happy hour at Anthonys Seafood restaurant. The entrance is gated and parking is on top of the hill with a 212 step staircase to a quiet and private life.
The home is fully furnished with a full kitchen including pots/plates/appliances. This has everything similar to a vacation rental. The owner can also vacate any unneeded items. This is a winter and early spring rental.
Dates are negotiable, if you need to move in earlier or later.
Tacoma is 45 miles south of Seattle. There are 2 buses that run close to the home and 1 mile from the ferry to Vashon Island. Mt. Rainier is an hour east, Portland is 2 hours south. Within a 100 mile radius you can find any sport location and nature opportunity.
