About the building

Furnished basement apartment in Lockland Springs (East Nashville) available May 1st Cozy, newly renovated basement space on a quiet cul-de-sac, a few minutes from downtown and close to all the East Nashville spots. ~750 sq ft with a small bedroom (queen size bed), walk-in closet, living area (with a desk), simple kitchenette, and a really big amazing bathroom. Private entrance, tucked under the back deck but space isn't 100% private as it's our access point to the unfinished basement/laundry room but will coordinate timing. A few blocks from Lockeland Table and Bill's Sandwich Palace, and about a block from Lockeland Springs Park. $1,500/month + utilities 1 bed / 1 bath Available May 1 Lease: ideally 1-6 months Deposit: $1,500 No pets (my dog sadly doesn't approve) and must love dogs. Washer/dryer in basement (shared) Filtered water throughout the house Occasional access to upstairs kitchen if you want a bigger cooking space Parking: driveway or street (driveway not guaranteed) A couple additional notes: * The apartment tends to stay on the cooler side year-round since it's a basement space. Some people love that, but it's best suited for someone who doesn't mind a cooler environment. * No smoking (inside or on the property). * My roommate and I do come through the space at times to access the unfinished basement (laundry + sauna). We'd coordinate and keep it consistent, but it's not fully private. Your room can be locked and is 100% private. About us: I'm a therapist and spend a lot of time in the world of mindfulness, embodiment, and personal and community wellness. I value a home that feels grounded, respectful, and easeful. I live upstairs with my dog, who is very much part of the household. I also enjoy occasionally hosting friends for sauna hangs and small gatherings (potlucks, drum circles, etc.), which you'd be welcome to join if that's your vibe. Steve (my roommate) is a lovely musician and music teacher, is vegan, and loves nature. He brings a calm, low-key presence to the home. And is also open for drum lessons (but no worries, no loud instruments at the house typically ;). We're looking for someone who feels aligned with a peaceful, intentional living environment. Open-mindedness, kindness, and LGBTQ+ friendly are important to us.
