Located on Strawberry Hill above the village of Bar Harbor and within walking distance (about a mile) of the village center, this villa has landscaped and tended grounds, with extensive lawn areas for family sports and activities overlooked by a large deck for entertaining and quiet mornings with your coffee. Totally private, very quiet, a true retreat from the hustle-and-bustle of downtown but close to the action and the waterfront (walk or bike to Cromwell Harbor)
The main floor is open-concept, with spectacular cathedral ceilings and elegant furnishings including a large leather sectional, a large, fully-equipped, eat-in, gourmet kitchen and adjoining dining area that can seat 12, two bedrooms (one with ensuite bath), and lots of windows and access to the huge rear deck areas and the grill. Large-screen TV with streaming functions, and entertainment equipment in the great room, ceiling fans and beautiful decorative stone fireplace. There is a half bath and also a private office off the kitchen.
Extensive second floor has four bedrooms, including a huge Master BR with large, updated en suite bath (double-vanity, separate glass shower and large jetted tub) with portable AC unit
Lower floor is a huge finished space with 1/2 bath and much game equipment (foosball, ping-pong, etc) and entertainment center, a great place for kids to escape the adults or for all kinds of family fun. The grounds are nicely-landscaped and the lawns ready for family activities, including a basketball court, etc, surrounded by mature woodlands. Check out the photos .
