A year lease is desired. Utilities are separate. This is a new home, built in 2024. Garbage pickup which is required ranges from 46$-56$ a month depending on what size cans the resident wants.. Water bill is split monthly with the tenant of the original home on the property. A small mature dog or mature cat will be considered, but as this is a new home there will be stipulations and an animal deposit of 200$. The tenant will be responsible for paying for maintenance on the new washer, dryer and dishwasher, and will be expected to care for the blinds carefully, and pay for replacement blinds if necessary.

About the building

This home is a new small home, built in 2024 with a lot of care given to detail.… The house is situated in the easily accessible West side of Mckinleyville, just minutes away from Arcata, Highway 101, and also the beaches in Trinidad. The home has beautiful tile in the kitchen and bathroom, high ceilings, and lots of windows. There are new top-down-bottom-up blinds on many of the windows. This is a one bedroom, one bathroom home with all electric appliances, a heat pump heating and cooling system, and wooden doors. It also has a brand new washer and dryer, and a medium-sized fridge. Although the home is only about 700 square feet, the high ceilings and many large windows create a feeling of spaciousness. The bedroom is comfortable-sized and could accomadate a desk as well as a king-sized bed. The home was designed with storage in mind, and can be a great home for one or two people. It would be ideal for a couple. The deck that runs the length of the south side adds a lot of room to the unit when the weather is nice, and adds to the feeling of space. The property is landscaped with new plantings, and there are some original plants as well, and a small lawn. There is a storage shed with room for garbage cans, bikes, surfboards or other types of equipment. Rogers Market and the Hammond Trail are very close. Most of the neighbors have lived adjacent to this property for many years and are established residents who enjoy a quiet neighborhood. The home has a quiet, sunny feel. . The landlords do not live on site, but used to for many years, and now live nearby. A mature small dog or possibly a cat will be considered. The home would be ideal for one person, or a couple.
