The Shady Pines Community has the advantage of being located on the Hudson River (and Champlain Canal), near Highway I-87 with major railroad access, all while still retaining the historic and country charm of a rural community. Conveniently located just off Route 9, minutes from South Glens Falls, in between Saratoga Springs and Lake George, approximately 40 miles north of Albany. This quiet, family neighborhood has an excellent school system, with local historic sites like Fort Ticonderoga, Fort William Henry and the Saratoga Battlefield. There are also several history museums in the area. For recreational enthusiasts, Lake Champlain and Lake George are wonderful for boating and sailing. West Mountain and Gore Mountain are popular locations for skiing, snow boarding, sledding and snow tubing, and The Great Escape amusement park is also nearby.
