My newly renovated, super cute and private and furnished basement apartment is available for rent! PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. I am looking for ONE TENANT OR A COUPLE to rent my recently updated and furnished basement apartment. I've put a lot of love into remodeling this apartment and it is insulated, soundproofed, has a separate entrance to my main house (where I live), 1 large bedroom and a 2nd smaller guest room/office, a dishwasher, shared laundry, walk-in closet, vented kitchen hood, vented bathroom with shower/new toilet/vanity area, a built in bar area, new kitchen, new floors, BRAND NEW WINDOWS in all rooms, and a large south-facing window that bring in lots of sunlight. There is also an insulated storm entry area to store skis/bikes and other toys - bike rack and ski rack included. Entrance to the apartment is private and access through the insulated entryway which also is private. Both the insulated entryway door and apartment front door are lockable. My home is one block from the Langohr gardens and Gallagator trail and only a few blocks from MSU, coffee shops, grocery store and brewery. It is a super bikeable location and I bike almost everywhere. There is shared outdoor space and a separate backyard patio for use by the tenants. I prefer tenants who are sustainably minded and respectful that I live upstairs full-time with my young daughter. I am looking for local, responsible folks who work in the community and can do a month-month but longer stays are a potential for the right tenants. It is an ideal space for a graduate student or professional who needs a home office but also works well for a couple. THIS IS NOT FOR 2 INDIVIDUALS OR FAMILIES. NO PETS ALLOWED. I am asking $1750/month and the apartment will be available January 15th. A one month deposit is requested ($1500) is refundable at the end of the lease if there is no damage and terms of the lease have been followed. I pay for all utilities including heating (up to a $75/month max), garbage/sewage/water, internet, snow removal and all other property upkeep. With normal use, the electricity costs should not exceed $75/month but Tenants are responsible for any electricity costs that exceed the $75 max (metered separately) and the difference is due at the end of each month.
