Can only accommodate one person. Room is in an intentional home of kind, mid 20's working professionals, near Santa Clara University but not Affiliated. The room is downstairs and you only share a bathroom with one other person. It has a non functional chimney that adds charm to the space, a closet nook and it's pretty spacious with hardwood flooring. - Seeking housemate for long-term rental, 1 year lease. - $1139 month room rent is based on one occupant. - Range from $100-$135/month utilities: wireless internet (no cable), garbage, and monthly yard maintenance. - There is a $167 security deposit + $250 holding deposit that will be applied towards your first months rent. The House: Only a few blocks from SCU! We have built our home intentionally over the past years to support mutual respect and community. The house is originally a 6BR/2.5BA house but the 2nd bedroom downstairs is attached to the living room and now serves as a home office/extension of the living room. Current occupants include 2 educators, 1 big four employee, and a firefighter-mostly SCU alumni. Big backyard and plenty of space around the house to hangout (basketball hoop too). We are an easygoing, clean and respectful house and like to chat it up whenever possible. The house is owned and managed by the people living next door and you may see him occasionally doing work around the house. He's an awesome landlord. Neighborhood is pretty quiet and residential, and there is plenty of street parking. The Housemate: We're looking for a housemate who is kind, accountable, tidy, adaptable, collaborative and considers the needs of the collective as well. We are ideally looking for someone who is a good long-term fit who can bring positive contributions to the house. Housemate commitment includes regular collective chores and shared upkeep of common spaces including laundry room and patio.
