Only potential tenants who have applied through Zillow providing their credit history etc. will be considered. I'm not specifically listing days and times but the property can generally be shown with some notice in advance a day ahead of time. A 12 month lease is required with the first month's rent and security deposit paid up front. Water, septic, weekly trash collection, and grass cutting are included. Electricity and snow removal are not included and the unit is heated and cooled by a heat pump. This is a non-smoking listing and one cat would be okay with an additional $250.00 non refundable pet fee. There are separate driveways for each apartment, the main level driveway is on Rustic Village Road and the upstairs parking area faces Two Church Lane and has its own separate entrance. Due to the age of the building noise carries more easily, so being aware of that is asked of the upstairs and main level tenants, and that has worked well over the years. The property is on a septic system so it is important to only flush human waste and toilet paper, no wipes or sanitary items please.

About the building

This is a two bedroom, one bath ground level apartment in a 106 year old historical property in the original village of Forest.… It was built in 1920 as the Farmers Bank of Forest and the Forest Post Office. The stock market crash of 1929 ended the Bank's run but it remained the Forest Post Office until 1974, when it was then converted to two apartments. It's in nice condition with 18 month old appliances including the washer & dryer. It has 10 foot ceilings and lots of large windows providing good natural light with matching vinyl plank flooring in every room, all LED lighting and ceiling fans in the main area and master bedroom. Located on Rustic Village Road, it is close to all of the amenities Forest has to offer but is in a more rustic setting. As with most things a hundred plus years old it has its charms and its quirks and the layout of the rooms reflects that. The large center room is 13 x 24 and typically works well as the living area with room for a dining table. The master bedroom is 11 1/2 x 13 and the second bedroom or office is 8 x 13 1/2 with a double sliding door closet the width of the room. The bathroom is small and the kitchen is where the washer and dryer are located also. There is good closet space and additional storage areas above them for seasonal items. There are lots of choices available for apartments but this is more like a neighborhood setting. This is a corner property with a private business to the right and the Forest Masonic Lodge to the left across from it on Two Church Lane, there is a small shop and a barn with pastures and horses to the rear.
