It's a 19-minute drive to Plattekill Mountain and 24 minutes to Belleayre Ski Center. A vehicle is needed to enjoy the countryside as Uber or cab service is limited in the area.
Please note that there is no AC in the home, as it was designed to take advantage of cross ventilation and the cool mountain air. Quiet hours are observed from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and outdoor noise should be kept to a minimum. No parties or events are allowed, and the guest count must match the reservation. Day visitors require prior approval. Smoking is not permitted indoors. Check-in is between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. There is no cell service at the house; WiFi calling should be enabled before arrival, and arrival details should be saved or screenshotted in advance. Rural, mountainous roads can be unpredictable during winter months (OctoberApril), and AWD, FWD, or 4WD with all-weather tires is required. The driveway is plowed and shoveled every 34 inches of snow.
