It's the top unit in an up-down duplex and feels totally private. Once you step inside, the 180-degree valley view instantly grabs your attention through oversized windows that stretch across the main living area. Whether you're watching eagles coast by or soaking up pastel sunsets, you're constantly connected to the landscape.
The main living area is open and bright, with a large smart TV, two full futon couches, a coffee table, and separate zones for lounging and working. One nook has a desk for remote work, while another corner has soft seating and shelves for games and books. The dining area is anchored by a solid wood table that seats six, and the adjacent kitchen has a clean, updated look with stainless appliances, tile backsplash, and butcher block counters. There's even a pass-through window/bar with stools facing the wet bar below, great for socializing and seeing the spectacular view from the kitchen.
Both bedrooms have queen-sized beds, master baths, walk-in closets, and touches that make them feel more like suites than bedrooms. One has a desk and chair for working or journaling. Bathrooms are roomy and modern, each with a walk-in tiled shower and single vanity. Vanities have a custom live-edge wood countertop, along with all the other wood details add a handcrafted feel that connects the indoors with the serene surroundings. Solid wood built in beds provide sound sleep guests have raved about when we ran the space as a top rated Airbnb!
Outside, the experience just keeps going. You've got your own backyard zone with multiple sitting areas, double hammock, double swing chair, fold-out loungers, Adirondack chairs, and a picnic table as well as a bench/small table for al fresco meals or working outside. A BBQ grill makes summer dinners easy. Stargazing out here is unbeatable, especially with zero city lights in view. High-speed Starlink internet as well as a new quiet mini split in each room and the main room to stay comfortable year round. All utilities (water, electric, garbage) as well as wifi and landscaping are included so you can relax in your country oasis.
Tucked away yet accessible, you're close to town markets, gas, top wineries, parks within 5 min in Carlton/Yamhill and within easy distance of universities, big box stores in McMinnville/Newberg.
It's a peaceful permaculture hobby farm with table grapes, veggie beds, a dozen large perennial beds and a small pond right on-site. You might hear frogs or crickets at night or catch eagles and hawks flying overhead during the day. It's quiet, clean, bright and more than a little bit magical. We use electric hand tools and no large farm equipment, and love to share the bounty!
