A private entrance directly into the apartment, two real bedrooms, in-unit washer and dryer, and a private rear deck on a quiet block one block from Taylor Street.
Laflin Street between Fillmore and Polk is a calm, residential block with a settled neighborhood feel. There's no through traffic, no noise just a well-kept street with longtime neighbors, an elementary school across the street, and the kind of block that surprises people who come to see the apartment. Taylor Street is one block north: coffee, restaurants, and the kind of commercial strip that makes a neighborhood feel like a place rather than just a location. Rush, UI Health, Jesse Brown VA, and the UIC Medical Campus are all close most residents walk or bike. The CTA Pink Line at Polk is about a 10-minute walk for everything else.
The building is a private two-flat just two apartments in the building. The front door opens directly into your own private entry foyer, with a staircase up to the second-floor living space. It's a genuinely peaceful place to come home to.
The apartment is well-laid-out for two people. The living room faces the front of the building with good natural light.
