Two large upstairs bedrooms available, $600 each, one person per room. Fully fully furnished, linens and all utilities included. Month-to-month.… Seasonal and traveling medical staff welcome. Amazing opportunity to live in a very special house, with a very peaceful vibe. High ceilings, original woodwork, and tons of windows. For the architecture buffs, it's turn-of-the-century late Victorian, with very few changes to the original structure (though with "modern" kitchen and bathrooms). The 1/4 acre yard is full of huge trees, a small orchard, the occasional deer herd wandering through, and a cool old barn. Both available rooms are upstairs and fully furnished. 2 minutes easy walk to the restaurants and bank in Fort Jones, @ 5 minutes to Rays. This is an all roommate household, with all common areas the house are shared. Existing roomie is polite, easy to get along with, and low drama; you should be too. No drugs, outdoor smoking only. References, background & credit check required. Wifi is 25mbps up/down fiber, so remote work-from-home is an option. For those who aren't local; Fort Jones is an old Gold Rush town in rural far Northern CA in an area famous for recreational opportunities (rafting on the Klamath river, hiking the PCT, skiing and mountain climbing Mt Shasta). It is at the North end of Scott Valley. Mt Shasta - 1 hr Medford - 70 miles Redding - 2 hrs College of the Siskiyous - 45 minutes In town there are all the basic services within easy walking distance (bank, library, gas station, Ace hardware, grocery store, several restaurants, coffee ). All the basic options are 17 miles away in Yreka (Starbucks, Walmart, Raleys grocery stores, Tractor Supply, casino, hotels, etc). Medford has all of the big city stuff (all the major chain stores, large hospitals and medical centers, Rogue Valley Airport, etc. There is pubic transit into Yreka, but only 2 trips per day. There is NO public transit option to Medford. The weather is similar to the Sierra foothills; summers are hot, winters are cold, Spring and Fall are genuine seasons. It does snow several times a year, but it typically melts within a week or so.
