If you are not low income and can afford another option it would be best to avoid this place. I moved here site unseen for work and have regretted it since day one.

1) ROACHES and a variety of other insects/arachnids. The apartments are old and poorly sealed. Every creepy crawly gets in and they rotate by the season. I will have to throw away a lot of nice stuff when I leave to avoid bringing roaches and carpet beetles with me.

2) Don’t be fooled by new paint and carpet. The pipes are old, the water smells like raw sewage and is discolored. The windows are drafty, blinds fall apart, and screens fall out. I’m pretty sure the floor is rotted under the carpet because there are a lot of soft spots I sink into while walking(no I’m not overweight).

3) Unsupervised toddlers->teens destroy everything outside. There is a decent staff that comes by every few days to clean but it’s still a mess.

4) Unsupervised kids started a dumpster fire with fireworks and we could not put it out because they also steal the fire extinguishers. We could have lost our homes/lives because people don’t keep an eye on their kids.

5) I love dogs and own one but the neighbors let their dogs poop everywhere and don’t clean up. Even found poop on my porch and in the parking stall.(p.s. my dog had to be treated for fleas for the first time in her life while living here).

In summary - If you have money and can rent elsewhere do so. If your situation is more along the lines of people living in every single room including dining/living room and in the garage...this will probably be the best you can find in the area. The rent is too high in the bay.
