The South West quadrant of Washington, DC, is the smallest quadrant in D.C. and features only one neighborhood, the Southwest Waterfront. The Metro Green Line services the area at the Waterfront-SEU Station. The famous Maine Avenue Fish Market is located here. Due to the arrival of the new Nationals Park, many developers have been building new luxury condos in hopes of revitalizing the area. As a result the majority of housing today consists of these new condos and small high-rise apartments. The processes of revitalization and gentrification are well underway in the Southwest Waterfront and it remains a changing neighborhood today.
