Palm Springs is a city in the Coachella Valley of Riverside County, California. About 55 miles east of San Bernardino and 105 miles southeast of Los Angeles, Palm Springs is the largest city in the county. Located at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, Palm Springs is a popular desert resort area with a year-round population of about 45,000 that doubles during the winter tourist season.

For a change of pace from the desert scene, residents can head around 100 miles west for coastal adventures in Huntington Beach or Newport Beach.
