Renters must realize that a lease is a legally binding agreement, so it is important to fully understand and agree to everything in the lease before signing.
The lease should specify the names of all tenants, the rent per month and what utilities and additional expenses are included in the rent, as well as outline the relative responsibilities of both the tenant and the landlord. If you are confused with or unclear about any aspect of the lease, do not hesitate to ask for clarification before signing.
