EDIT EDIT: After posting on various review websites, I finally got someone to answer me. Carrie James, one of the managers, let me know that she was looking into this and she was sorry that it had taken so long to get any real response. Unfortunately, she was leaving Eliot (I wonder why) a couple of days later and promised me this would be handed off to the manager, Sharita Harper. After not hearing for another week, I e-mailed 2 days ago and asked for Sharita. She called me this afternoon. Long story short - she had no idea the back story because apparently no one in this organization takes notes or communicates. I was told that this would be handed off but uh yeah... #elioton4th. Despite the fact that they lost 2 of my packages (and were able to find one with my insisting that they continue to look), she did not feel that she was responsible at all and asked me to file a complaint with USPS (l o l). I told her that this was ridiculous, and that was essentially screwing me out of the package and the money, and asked to be removed from the Amazon hub locker situation because this middle man cost me hundreds of dollars, and I wasn't willing to lose thousands since Eliot takes ZERO responsibility for them losing packages (which they clearly did in this case). She continued to get defensive and basically offered zero recourse besides 'We can look again' - keep in mind it's been well over a month since this was delivered. I recorded all of these conversations and am going to post them on a fun new website that I'll SEO to the front page - Eliot on 4th SUCKS. This place can't keep staffed so they hire 'consultants' that have NFC what they are doing and when they make a mistake, they drag it out for a month, pretend that they will make it right, then send the 'manager' at you (if you ever meet Sharita you will know because the first thing out of her mouth is IM THE MANAGER). I can't wait to move out of here. EDIT: After 14 days, I've given up. I bought a rare, 1/1 baseball card (the only one in the entire world) for my dad who is helping my mom go through Stage 4 cancer and I can't get one person from this building to reach out, much less help. At this point I don't feel comfortable ordering anything of value to this building anymore since there is clearly a theft problem. Sound like somewhere you want to live? I'll be out of here in August. If you aren't a college kid or if you value your property I'd probably steer clear of Eliot on 4th. Tons of options in the area (including a new building going up across the street). You really shouldn't have to get the attention of your building like you would American Airlines, right? I had 2 packages that were marked as delivered and accepted by Eliot. They contained items that are valuable and cannot be replaced. I am out of town (otherwise I'd be down there daily) and have a friend picking up my packages. When he went to pick up the packages at the Amazon Hub that I'm sure we pay a lot for, a number of the doors that opened were empty. I've e-mailed and called Eliot numerous times trying to get someone to help me find my packages. I also e-mailed the manager that coordinated my leasing. I've received zero response. At this point it seems like either USPS or someone at Eliot is stealing packages, but I don't know their process (nor should I have to). Since I assume the cost of the Amazon Hub is baked into our rent, it sure seems like I'm paying for the pleasure of having my packages stolen, and then when I have to e-mail/call 5 times I get zero response, much less a resolution. I'm sure this is exacerbated by the fact that a lot of the front desk staff are 'contractors' and have no knowledge of policies or procedure for the building. I've attached the e-mails and you can decide for yourself if you want to pay a premium for this kind of service. This is the first time this has happened to me in my ~15 years of living in DC.
